PLAINS RAINFALL.

EXCEPTIONALLY DRY MONTH. Although a fall of rain was recorded at Kerepeehi on eleven .days during the month of April the total amount was very small, being only .84111, Not since March, 1921, has there been such a small total, and only on live occasions has there* been less rain during a month since the recording was commenced in 1912. The average for the month of April during the last twelve years is 4.18 inches, and for the first four months of the year during the same period 13.78 inches. The total for the year 1925 is 6.4 inches, and there have been 33 wet days.
