The Under-Secretary for Mines (Mr A H. Kinball), was in Paeroa on Friday afternoon,on his way through to Waihi.
, Mr W. J. Phillips, first Mayor of Waihi, was a visitor to Paeroa •on Thursday, and left in the afternoon wii,'! Messrs J. Brenan and E P. Fathers by motor-car for Waihi and Tauranga. Mr Phillips its an officer in the Income Tax Department.
Mr J. R. Salt, ivho has been associated with advertising in this Dominioj for the past 25 years, has joined the. directorate, of - the James Jenkins Advertising Co., Ltd., Wellington, and will be actively engaged in the management of that organisation.;
