FOUND DEAD.

TURUA FARMER DIES SUDDENLY.

Mr John Connelly, a single man, about 60 years of age, a farmer of Hauraki Road, Turua, was found dead about 6 p.m. on Tuesday. A neighbour, noticing that Connelly's cows were not being milked, went to his shanty to inquire if anything was amiss and found the body lying near the back door. As far as can be ascertained by the police, deceased was last seen alive, about noon, when he visited Bagnall Bros’, store ami obtaineil groceries. These he placed in a sack, which he carried on his back, axitUcycled home. The sack and deceased’s cap were found lying on a tabic, and it is supposed that he went outside to bring ir his bicycle and fell down dead. No external injuries could be found hy Constable Devereaux, and the doctor being away from Turua an examination could not be made. The facts were telephoned to the dsitriet coroner, Mr W. H. Lucas, who decided that an inquest would not be necessary.

Mr Connelly was a native of County Mayo, Ireland, and had been in New Zealand for a number of years. About four years ago lie took up a freehold section of land at Turua. As far as is known there are no relations in New Zealand, but it is thought that a nephew is on the way out from Ireland.
