SCHOOL WORK.
HOME LESSONS. COMPLETION OF WORK SET. As so many children in each class, both in the secondary and primary departments, have failed to complete the homework already set, it has been decided not to set any fresh work until Wednesday, 14th instant. In the meantime parentis and pupils are urged to co-operate with teacher.-; in seeing that all written work set is completed, >nd that work set to be studied is attended to. In each clns-s a record of the amount of homework done by each pupil is being kept, and it seems probable that a number of children who just managed to gain promotion last December will be unable to keep up with their classmates when school resumes. So far as i-s known at present the local school will re-open on Wednesday next for the tuition of those in the High School classes, but those in the primary school will not be admitted until a later date.
