PERSONAL.
Mi- W. McCullay, Paeroa, received a cable yesterday afternoon advising that his mother, aged 85 yejars, had passed away at Kilmaurs,. near Kilmarnock, Scotland.
The many friends of Mr S. -D. MeMiken, at one time in charge of the Komata Reefs Gold Mining Co., will be pleased to learn that his second trip to America to undergo an operation was successful, and he has •returned to Auckland feeling very much better.
