Mr J. Miller, Registrar ot the Supreme Court, Hamilton, is in Paeroa. to-day.

Mr J. M. Fox, The Esplanade, Paeroa, lips been appointed second lieutenant on probation in the first battalion, Hauraki Regiment, as from February 17.

Mr A. F. Baker, engineer to the Main Highways Board, and Mr A. E. Bold, land purchase officer, Public Works Department, were in Paeroa yesterday on departmental business.

The friends of Mr E. W. Porritt, barrister and solicitor, Paeroa, will be pleased to learn that he has so far recovered from his lengthy illnessi as to be able to attend at his office again for a few hours daily.
