HAURAKI DRAINAGE BOARD.

{.To the Editor!. Sir,—As I gave day and date to my claim to be one of the founders of the Hauraki Drainage Board I am quite satisfied for the general public to judge, and Mr J. A. Bennett’s opinion does not matter. His attempt to sidetrack the whole matter, and the illuminating fact that he was the first chairman, etc., has nothing whatever to do with the issue. Mr Bennett’s side-tracking personalities only go to show that his knowledge of the facts is very limited. He is too well known on this side of the Waihbu River to be taken at all too seriously, or for his opinion to carry any weight. W. E. G. WILLY.
