ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Paeroa Golf Club was held in the Gaiety Theatre on Thursday evening, Dr. Smith presiding over a fair attendance of members. The report of the outgoing com-' mittee showed that at the close of last season the club comprised 70 • members, and it is expected that the number will be substantially increased during the coming season. , The financial side of the club appeal’s to be on a sound footing, the profit and loss account showing a gain of £2B during the season. The actual credit of the revenue account is £l3 10s lid, and the building fund has a Credit ot £42 The question of paying entrance fees into the building fund was discussed, but. the matter was deferred until the next general meeting. It was decided to secure the service’s of a- professional coach if possible.... The formal opening of the club’s links was fixed for Saturday’, April T. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Dr. T. G. Smith ; (re-elected) ; Vice-president,' Mr -I. G. Somervell (re-elected) ; secretarytreasurer, Mr. R. L. Miller (re-elect-.-, ed): auditor, Mr W. H.'Blakew.ay (reelected) ; captain, Mr H. H. Bray; t committee, Messrs W. R. Dales, S. J. Hedge, C. Kenny, C. N. O’Neill, and P. R. Hubbard.
