Although not infrequently the work had been difficult, and it had been necessary to work long hours, Miss Roberts had stuck loyally to her post and by her cheerful disposition and capable methods had endeared herself to the staff, the members of which were genuinely sorry to lose her companionship. In handing Miss Roberts a set of Doulton dishes on behalf of. the staff. Mr Blakeway trusted that the tokens would serve to remind hexof her old associations with the Dairy Company. He wished her good health, a long life, and all possible happiness during hex- married life, MR. A. TATTERSALE. Turning to Mr A. Regret at his loss had been expressed throughout the district when it became known that Mr Tattersall had been Selected to further the dairying industry in Fiji. While in no way begrudging him the honour that had been conferred on him, Mx- Blakeway said that he was echoing the sentiments of the people ovex- a large territory in saying that Mr Tattersail’s absence in the industry would be sorely felt.

In asking Mi- Tattersall to accept a gold-mounted fountain pen and a gold eversharp pencil, as slight tokens of the high esteem in which he was held by the staff, Mr Blakeway wished him bon voyage, health and happiness, and a safe return to New Zealand.

Mi- C. Foster, manager of the Ngatea factory supplemented the remarks made by Mr Blakeway, and spoke of the high esteem in which Mi* Tattersall was held by the factory staffs. The xecipients briefly responded. At the conclusion of the presentations afternoon tea was dispensed by the lady members of the staff, and the happy function concluded with the singiiig of “For they sire jolly good fellow” and cheers for the departing guests.
