GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT “ DARING CHANCES.” Supported by the Universal Ranch Riders, a score of necK-or-nothim; daredevils, in a great rodeo and steeplechase followed by a bandit chase over Sierra trails and a breathless rescue on the bring of a roaring precipice, Jack Hoxie stages one of the most exciting series of adventures in his career in "Daring Chances,” his new Universal feature to be shown to-night. The play starts with an accident, leads up to a rodeo and a race, switches from a sporting event to a grim chase in reality, its the gala day is punctuated with a hold-up and a kidnapping, and other thrilling elements which make it an interesting drama. SATURDAY NIGHT. "WHEN A MAN’S A MAN.” “When a Man’s a Man’’ fe the first of nine Harold Bell Wright stories, and will be shown to-morrow night. The theme of the story has to do with the remaking of a man—rather the making of a man. An eastern millionaire finds himself dubbed a “tailor’s dummy”—even by his own sweetheart. He decides to make a man of himself and win the admiration and respect of 1 his friends. He leaves his palatial home, dons old clothes, and starts life anew in the cattle country of Anzona--and makes good. John Bowers is given the role to enact, and those who have seen his portrayal claim it to be the finest he has yet given'to the screen. Marguerite de la Motte plays opposite the star, and others of the exceptional cast include George Hackathorne, June Marlowe, Robert Frazer, Forrest Robinson, Charles Mailes, Fred Stanton, Edward Hearne and a host of others equally prominent in filmdom; VAUDEVILLE. STEWART AND LORRAINE. Delightful variety will be given at the Gaiety Theatre to-morrow night in conjunction with the pictures. Stewart and Lorraine, talented musicians, will open with a duet'for voice and saxophone, followed by banjo iuets, including a medley of Scotch and Irish airs and Vvorak's "Humoresque.” The clever turn wil 1 be brought to a conclusion with the Miserere duet from “Il Trovatorc.”
