LAST SATURDAY’S MATCHES.
RESULTS OF THE PLAY. Only four inter-club tennis matches were played on the Hauraki Plains on Saturday last the KerepeehiMangawhero and the Turua-Waitfika-ruru matches being postponed. The Turua. "A” grade team secured 104 games from Kopuarahi, whose total was 51.. The other “A” grade match was Hopai v. Kaihere, which resulted in a win for Hopai, the scores being 89—5'5. Ngatea’s “B” grade team secured 100 points .to 59, while Hopai “B” grade secured 85 points against 71 by Kaihere. Details of the matches are as follows :— HOPAI V. KAIHERE. Ladies’ Singles: Mrs Speedv beat Miss Tizard, 7 5 ; Mis Motion lost to Mrs Falw.asser, 1 ?• Ladies' Doubles: Mrs Speedy tuid Mis Motion lost to Miss Tizard and Mrs Falwasser, 2—7 Miss Costello and Mrs W. Motion loist to Miss Benny and Miss Douslin, 2—7. Combined Doubles: Miss Costello and Vowles beat Miss Bonny and Benny, 7—5; Mrs W Motion and Waite beat Miss Douslin and Davies, 7—4.
