HIKUTAIA. bowling. Great interest is centred in the bowling tournaments now taking place at the local club. In the singles Mr M R. Morrison succeeded in winning, Mr A- R. Robinson being run-ner-up The first round of the pairs will be played as foßowis : A. R. Robinson and G. Spencer v. W. R. Morrison and G. Avery ; H. Morrison and M. R. Morrison v. W. H. Alley and H. Valintine ; F. Hill and G. Thomson v. C. Winder and T. Hitchcock; H. Brash and A. B. Capper v. I. M. Robinson and G Hannan ; E. Elliot and R. R. Morrison a bye. The Hikutaia bowlers anticipate playing Morrinsville for the Goldfields Stars on or-before February 7. TENNIS. There have been keen competitions in the ladder matches. The Hikutarn team is anticipating a match with the Thames Methodist Tennis Club on Saturday, 31st, to be played on tlie Thames courts. Owing to several members being away on holiday there has been very little tennis on the local courts.
