GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT “THE GOVERNOR’S LADY.” The picture to be shown to-night presents the life story of a man who starts with very, little education as a labourer in a silver mine. His advancement is rapid, however, because of the Napoleno-|ike qualities which were his natural, heritage. He completes his education .through his work and contact with big people. After becoming a wealthy man and a power in life State he is elected Governor and moves into the highest social circles His wife, "who helped him climb from his lowly station in life, is slow in adapting herself to his rapid development,, and compares unfavourably with the advanced, highly polished women he meets at the capital. Then a calinulating, designing woman enters his life, and he :s pleased with her subtle flattery, a.s have been so many other men in real life. There follows a series of the .highly dramatic incidents that carry the plot along to a smashing climax
