HAMILTON STOCK SALE.
The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports:
At Frankton on Tuesday last we held our weekly stock sale and had a small entry of fat sheep, a good entry of store sheep and beef, a fair entry of store cattle, and a full yarding of fat pigs and porkers. Both beef and mutton were firm, and there was keen competition throughout for all classes of store sheep. Fat pigs and porkers were a little easier, with stores about the same. We quitted all the yarding at the following prices : Fat ewes, prime, 32s 9d ; fat wool - ly wethers, £2 5s 6d ; fat and forward shorn Wethers 35s 6d to 36s ; shorn 2-tooth wethers, 33s 6d to 34s ; shorn rape almbs, 22s 9d to 23s 2d; woolly rape lambs, 22s 9d to 23s 2d ; woo-lly lambs, 20s 6d ; cull lambe, 15s. Fat steers £ll 15s to £l2 2s 6d, lighter £lO 5s to £11; fat cows £6 10s to £7 ; medium cows £5 10s to £6 Is; 2-ye’ar heifert £3 9s ; fresh-conditioned cows £4 14s; small yearlings 20s to 31sBest baconers £3 3s to £3 Bs, others £2 18s to £3 ; best porkers £2 12s to £2 16s, light £2 6s to £2 8s ; good choppers £4, others £3 to £3 10s ; slips 28s to 31s ; weaners 12s to 18s,
