A good deal has been heard of the number of sharks seen lit the water close to the Waihi Beach recently. On Sunday last a party of campers, including at least one young man from Paeroa, caught a shark measuring Bft 6in. The monster gave its captors some sport before being hauled up on to the beach. When opened the shark was found to contain 18 young ones ’ranging from a few inches to a foot.
