Ngatea sent 10 men to Kaihere, and in the first innings they were all out for 9 runs. Boyd took eight wickets in two overs and McDonald one in one over.

Kaiheie declared with ihe score at 68 runs for six wickets (Cowdrey 18 and Warburton 17), and on Ngatea going in again Boyd dismissed seven men and Dare one for a total of 10 runs.
