— .. MONTHLY STATEMENTS. MANAGER'S REPORT. The Thames Valley Power Boardi's manager. Mr R. Sprague, reported as follows to the meeting of the board at Te Arolia on Tuesday :— Transformers. —These are now in Auckland, and should reach t'e Arolia by the end of the week. It is inteiid .'d to have them dried out and in wo-k before the end of .the month. Poles.—The poles from the Forestry Department, have arrived in Te Arolia. They are for experimental pm poses, and will, be erected on Mr Strange's property. There will be arriving in the next few days 35ft poles, which are intended for the PatetongaNgatei section. A number of flaxmill owners have written, the letter* being before you. In the meantime their poles will be placed on the dump at Kopu. Consumers, —The total number of consumers now connected to the Board’s mains is 4480, including the boroughs of Thames and Te Aroha There were 64 lighting and heating consumers and 51 farmers’ motors, of which 41 are 2-h.p. milking motors, connected up during last month. There were also installed two 2-h.p., one 20-h.p., one 30-h.D., and one 50-h.p. motors on meters, these being industrial motons. The total number of motors installed and running on farms is 1102, of which 991 are 2-h.p. milking motors. ENGINEERS’ REPORT. ' Included in Messrs Gauvaln and McLeod's report was the following: Ngatea-Waitakaruru.—At the corner of Hcpai Road a 50-k.v.a. 11,000 to 415-240 volts transformer has been erected, and a supply was given tc this section on November 2. Between Hopai and Rawerawe roads a low tension circuit of about half a mile has been wired. All sub-mainis on the Pipiroa section have been completed. Maukoro Canal Road. —Pole fitting on this section, and also on Torr’s Road, commenced on November 21. Wa'hi Borough.—The erection of the poles for the low tension lines in the Waih: Borough was completed on the 21st, and wiring commenced on the 18th. The 11.000-volt wiring has been completed and the low tension circuits finished between Victoria and Gilmour streets. Extensions.—Extension have been made to the existing low tension retic ulahon on Thames Road, Netherton section, and Netherton-Turua section and protective apparatus has been instated on the 50-k.v.a. transformer at Firth’s flaxmill. -
