PLAINS RAINFALL.
MONTH OF NOVEMBER ABOVE THE AVERAGE. The rainfall for the month of November as recorded by the Lands Drainage Department’s gauge at Kerepeehi totalled 4.82 inches, which is 1,57 inches above the average for the corresponding month of the previous twelve years. Rain was recorded on 12 days, the heaviest being for the 24 hours ending 8 a.m. on the 27th. At the Ngatea school gauge 13 wet days were recorded, the total for the month being 4.93 inches. At the Waitakaruru school the total was 4.98 inches. So far this year 54.32 inches have been recorded at Kerepeehi, 12% inches above the yearly average for the previous 12 years.
