AFTER 70 YEARS.

PARTING AT WEDDING SERVICE, EFFORTS TO RECONCILE. In 1854 a young man of twenty led , his bride to the altar of a littleX church near Llangovery, in Carmarthenshire, South Wales. The marriage ceremony was performed, and the couple went to the vestry, but there the bride refused to sign .the register and returned to her home. She now lives in a cottage in the same district, and has expressed a wish to be buried in the clothes she wore on the day, seventy years ago, when she went to the church as a bride. The bridegroom, who —like his bride— is now 90 years old, has also returned to the village, and efforts are being made to reconcile the couple.
