GAIETY THEATRE PICTURED TO-NIGHT THE DANGEROUS BLONDE. Laura La Plante, the screen’s newest star, who has just one previous starring appearance before the public in “ Excitement,” is to be seen tonight in “The Dangerous Blonde.” The story carries as its centra} figure the father, his pleasure-hating, clublecturing wife, the girl, her sweetheart, and a bold bad vampire deliciously burlesqued. The whole plot is illied with humorous (situations well played by a cast of popular players. SATURDAY NIGHT. PAINTED PEOPLE. Colleen Moore became famous for her tomboy roles before the presentday flapper stepped into the limelight. She can be seen again as a tomboy in her latest offering, “Painted People,” which is to be shown to-morrow night. The picture is from the famous story, “ The Swamp Angel.” Cast ais Ellie Byrne, a small town hoyden with an ambitious soul, Miss Moore has a part peculiarly fitting to her talenta, and she overlooks no opportunity to lure a laugh—an accomplishment at w'hich she is so adept.
