HAURAKI PLAINS COUNCIL. CLERK’S REPORT. The following figures are extracted from the monthly finance report tabled pt Tuesday’s meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council: — The amount of general rate collectable, collected, and expended in the va r ious ridings at October 31 was: Kopuarahi £1697, £196, £1162; Turua £1598, £233, £1793 ; Horahia £1739. £297, £1315; Kerepeehi £1426, £136, £873; Netherton £1916, £222, £1505 ; Patetonga £1569, £247, £1017; Ngatea £1327, £259, £9lB ; Pipiroa £l4ll, £lO3, £9OB ; Waitakaruru £1749, £275, £1377. The amount by which the general rate has been anticipated is £8930. The debit balances of the various riding accounts at October 31, 1924, were as follows: Kopuarahi £966, Turua £1560, Horahia £lO4B, Kerepeehi £737, Netherton £1283, Patetonga £770, Ngatea £659, Pipiroa £BO5, Waitakaruru £llO2. The receipts for the month totalled £5BO ,9s Bd, including £478 2s 4d. for general and special rates and the balance for miscellaneous. . The debit balance as per cash-book of the County Fund at October 31 was £6409 IQs 2d. The following are the credit balances of the loan accounts: Netherton roads £2683, housing loan - £3443, machinery loan £4384, Turua-Nether-ton roads loan £4579, Tahuna roads loan £339. The following loan accounts have a debit balance : Kopu ferry approach roads loan, £l5 ; Ngatiapua East road loan, £341; Puriri ferry and approach roads loan, £l3.
