DOMAIN BOARD.

SECOND TENNIS COURT, OTHER ARRANGEMENTS MADE. At the meeting of the Faero.a Domain Board last night al| the members except Mr Vuglar were presen.".. A. AND P. SHOW. The secretary, Hauraki A. and PAssociation, made application for the use of the domain and permission te charge to the annual show on November 26 and 27. —Granted on pame terms and conditions as last year. It was pointed out that permission was granted for two days only. Mr Brenan said he understood that some side-shows stayed for several days iast year. It was reported that some of the residents in. the vicinity lost washing during that time. - The chairman (Mr Marshall) pointed out that the Domain Board was responsible after the two days. Of course latitude was given the association with regard to preparation of the ground. TENNIS COURTS. The chairman reported that the arrangements made with regard to th» second tennis court had not been satisfactory financially, only 6s having been collected. He moved that the concession granted to the Methodist Tennis Club be conceited. The secretary of that club had not been able to collect fees from outside players using the second court. A general discussion ensued, during which it was stated that one adult season ticket and some children’s tickets had been issued for tennis. Many persons were using the second court without paying.

It was suggested .that the Methodist Club should be offered the use or both courts on certain conditions, one Of which was that the public should be admitted as members.

The chairman pointed out that the club was a church organisation, and would not enter into open competition for members. At present, he understood, there were more members than could be accommodated. It was ultimately decided that the Board discuss with the Methodist Club any proposal to increase the revenue' from the second court, and that a notice be posted intimating the charge for playing, and quoting the section of the by-law prohibiting unauthorised persons using the courts.
