The annual meeting of the club will be held shortly. THE NEW CHURCH. The erection of the new church in Waitakaruru was completed on Thursday last, and only the painting now remains to be done. THE STREAM BRIDGE. Timber and iron girders for the new bridge which the Public Works Department proposes to erect to replace the temporary structure spanning the Waitakaruru Stream on the Pokeno Road have been lying at the Waitakaruru wharf for some time, waiting for the road to improve sufficiently to permit carting.
