GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES, TO-NIGHT. THE RED WARNING. The little town of Lone Pine, lying at the base of the Sierra Nevada range in Southern California, flanking the burning sands of the Mojave desert, was peculiarly fitted for the central locale of the Jack Hoxie Western picture. “The Red Warning,” to be shown to-night. The story involves a lost mine, cattier rustling, and a wild night ride with hundreds of cowboys. SATURDAY NIGHT, FLAMING YOUTH. Exemplifying the jazz age. “Flaming Youth” is ajs daring as the book by “Warner Fabian,’’ from which it was taken. It tells the story of a certain class of society people, wealthy, respectable in the eyes of the country, who indulge in exaggerated jazz diVersion. Packed with dramatic situations from beginning to end, tnere is yet no impression to be had that the picture has been forced to intense complications. The picture, as the book, is a startling expose of ultra-modern society with 7s jazz, its flapperism, its search for new 'sensations. The story is so intimate that the author hid his identity under a nom de plume. Whether the author be a man or a woman is not known, but the writer claims to be a physician whe sees through the body to the soul. Is his estimate of the modern woman correct 1 We leave it to you to decide. At any rate ‘ Flaming Youth’’ will amaze you with its daring disclosures. Colleen Moore as Patricia Fentriss, younger daughter of a “jazz family,” lives through her role with faithful realism, Other members of .the brilliant all-star cast are Milton Sills, Elliott Dexter, Myrtle Stedman, and Sylvia Breamer.
