KEREPEEHI DOMAIN.

• APPOINTMENT OF BOARD. A public meeting of - Kerepeehi residents, convened by the Ratepayers’ Association, was held on Monday evening for the purpose of appointing a domain board to control, the area which would be dedicated as a public domain when a board had been appointed and approved by the Minister for Lands. It was pointed out by residents present that the district was very fortunate in having such a magnificent gift bestowed upon it. It rested with the board, when appointed, to make the area a fitting place for public purposes. Letters on the subject from the Commissioner of Crown Lands were read, and the following were nominated : Messrs B. Frecklington, R. Hutchinson, J. H. Nicholson, L. A. W. Bagnall, A. J. Innes, S. W. Bridge, and C. Loving. As not less than five or.more than nine were required, nominations were closed and the above declared apponited. Mr E. S. Masters was deputed to notify the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the department’s approval of the nominees.
