PAEROA SOLDIERS’ CLUB
MEETING OF TRUSTEES. SALE OF PREMISES. A meeting of the trustees and de-benture-holders of the Paeroa Returned Soldiers’ Club wag held on. Saturday evening last, the president, Mr E. Edwards, occupying the chair. The secretary (Mr R. Hodson) reported that there was now no financial. club members, and as a consequence the club was not a paying concern ; nor was it in a position tp meet the current liabilities. The president submitted two offers that had been received for the purchase of the club building, and after considerable discussion it wag decided by the members to offer the club for sale by public tender. It was estimated. that there would be a surplus from Hie sale over and above the present liabilities, and it was suggested that such surplus should be set aside as a nucleus of a fund for the erection of public swimming baths.
