OBITUARY.

MRS. ANNIE BRAMLEY. A very old resident of Paeroa, in the person of Mrs Annie Bramley, passed away at her residence, Cassrels Street, on Friday night last. The late Mrs Bramley was born at Tamaki seventy-five years ago, and went to Auckland to live when very young. There she received her education, and was married in 1870. Shortly afterwards, with her husband, she went to Thames, living there in .the early days of the mining boom. Just over fifty years ago Mrs Bramley came to Paeroa, living first at the Puke, and later removing to her late residence in Cassrels Street. Deceased was a staunch adherent of the Methodist Church, and as a member of the local Ladies’ Guild was an enthusiastic and untiring worker up till about four months ago, when she was forced to relinquish her activities owing to a stroke of paralysis, which hastened her death. It is undenstood that there is only one person who has lived longer in Paeroa than the deceased, namely, Mrs Mahony, an aunt of Mrs Crosby, of the Paeroa Hotel. The late Mrs Bramley’s husband predeceased her seme twenty years ago. Deceased leaves one son, Mr R. J. Bramley, Paeroa, and five daughters, besides many grandchildren and great-grand-children to mourn her loss.
