JERSEY BREEDERS.
THAMES VALLEY CLUB. MEETING ON SATURDAY. A meeting of the Thames ValleyJersey Cattle Breeders’ Club was held in the Dairy Company’s board-room, Paeroa, on Saturday morning. The president. Mr B. E. Veale, presided over Messrs G. Buchanan, E. J. Walters, M. Crimmins, and H. J. Harris' (secretary). SALE OF PEDIGREE STOCK. It was decided to confirm the action of the president on arranging with the Farmers’ Auctioneering Co. to hold tlie second annual sale of pedigree stock at Hikutaia on October 16 next. It was decided that entries for the sale would close on September 10, with the Auctioneering Co., Hamilton. CATALOGUE QUOTATION. The quotations submitted for the printing of catalogues fior the sale were considered, and on the motion of Mr Buchanan, seconded by Mr Crimmins, it was decided to give the work to the Hauraki Plains Gazette. The matter of advertising the closing date of entries, and publicity work in connection with the sale, was left in the hands of the president and Farmers’ Auctioneering Co., with power to act. ORDER OF SALE. Some discussion took place as to whether it was advisable to allow pedigree stock other than the Jersey breed to be offered at the sale, and finally it was dcided to accept such entrie.:, the order of sale to be Jer-? seys, Ayrshires, Friesians, and Shorthorns. SPECIAL CONDITIONS. It was agreed that all female stock offered at the tsale be guaranteed in calf, or to have calved within three months previous to the sale. Should such not prove the case the purchase money to be refunded by the vendor in full.
