PAEROA V. WAIHI. The match between members of the Paeroa and Waihi Golf Clubs on the Paeora links resulted in a win. for the former by 13 games to 3. The results were as follows, Paeroa names being mentioned first: Men. —Bray beat Morgan, 6—4, Miller beat Wilson 3 —2, Dales beat Jackson 7 —5, Hedge lost to Mansfield 4—3, O’Neill lost to Barron 5—4, Hubbard lost to Selling 7 —6/ Kenny beat Hazard 1 up, Blakeway beat Redpath 2 —l, Byrne beat Lorrimer 2 up. Ladies. —Mrs Bray beat Mrs Bell 2 — i, Miss F. Walmsley beat Mrs Malyon 6—5, Mrs Arthur beat Mrs Morgan 6 —4, Miss Thorp beat Miss Patterson 6—5, Mrs Bain beat Mrs Foy 1 up, Miss Poland beat Mtn Staples 3— Mrs Silcock beat Mrs Adams 7-5. Next Saturday’s fixture for the men will be the second and final round of the competition for the President’s Trophy. The match will be played over 18 holes, bogey play, points to be awarded as in the previous round. The draw for partners will be at two o’clock sharp. LADIES. Next Saturday the match will be 18 holes bogey handlcay, trophy presented by Mrs Miller, players to choose their own partners. The following ie the draw for the junior championship, which can be played in conjunction with the bogey handicap match: Mrs Byrne plays Miss Argali, Mrs Lawrence plays Miss Buchanan, Mrs Andrews plays Mrs Taylor, Miss Tierney plays Miss Shaw, Mrs McDougall plavs Mrs Little, Mrs Hubbard plays Miss Sutton, Miss Menzies a bye.
