FOOTBALL.

Sir, —As a keen follower of the Rugby game in Paeroa, and especially in the junior department, I have followed closely the junior competition for the much coveted cup. Apparently, owing to East failing to conquer Netherton on August 16, the issue now lies between East and West. I would therefore suggest that our local union provide the supporters of the game a really keen, exciting fight to a finish in a knock-out match between East and West on August 30. A match of this o.der should prove quite a draw, and I am sure the public would be provided with a game well worth a shilling to watch. CIVIS.
