clearing sale at hopai. At a clearing sale at Hopai on Friday last the Farmers' Auctioneering Co. sold a herd of sixty well forward and good conditioned dairy cows at prices which averaged out at £lO 12s. The highest price realised was £l7 10s, but several three-teaters, which only realised £3 pr £4, brought the average down. Twenty nice Jersey heifers averaged £8 10s, a pedigree Jersey bull brought 10% guineas, and a grade Jersey bull 5% guineas. Horses brought £l9 15s and £3O, sows with young £5 10s to £8 10s, ami good store pigs £2 6s to £2 10s. Farm implements and sundries sold at satisfactory prices.
