* The first round of the Club Championship, played on Saturday last, re-, suited as follows: W. R. Dales beat C. Kenny, B—7; C. O’Neill beat S. Hedge, 2—l; R. Miller beat J. Byrne, 2—l; J. Arthur beat Dr. Smith, 10—8; H. Bray beat P. Hubbard, 4 —3. Next Saturday’s match will be for the Monthly Medal, to be played over 18 holts. Own partners to be arranged. LADIES. t The trophy presented ,by Mrs Topliss for competition by players of 36 handicap was won by Miss Buchanan, the net scores being: Miss Buchanan 85. Mists Tierney 88, Mrs Lawrence 92, Miss Sutton 95, Mrs McDougall'99, Mrs Andrews 100, Mise Argali 108. Nex. Saturday will be the usual Medal round, to be played over 18 holes, with an entrance fee of 6d.
