GOLDFIELDS BRANCH. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Goldfields branch of the New Zealand Edu-, cational Institute was held in the Central School, Waihi, on Saturday last, Mr G. H. Taylor presiding. The annual report and balancesheet were adopted. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The election of officers for the ensuing term resulted as follows: President, Mr M. J. O'Connor, headmaster at Waihi South school; vicepresidents, Messrs Wilks (Paeroa Dist riot High School), Bullans (Waihou), and Smith ( Waihi Central) , management committee, Miss Scott (Karangahake), Messrs Phillips (Waihi South), Armstrong (Waihi Central), and Aicken (Elstow) ; secretary and treasurer, Mr Jones, Karangahake ; district representative on Auckland Management Committee, Mr Jones. A vote of thanks to the outgoing < fficers and to the chairman concluded a very successful meeting.
