PAEROA RUGBY UNION. MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The weekly meeting of the Paeroa Rugby Union Committee was held in the Dressing Shed last night, Mr P. E. Brenan presiding over Messrs C. T. Mettam, F. G. Otter, T. Welch, H. M. Shand, C. H. Potter, and C. H. Butcher, secretary. THIRD-GRADE PI AKO MATCH. In reply to a request from the Piako Rugby Union it was decided that a third-grade representative match between Paeroa and Piako could not be played at Paeroa on Sat . urday next owing to other fixtures having been arranged. It was decided that a game should be arranged later on. REGISTRATIONS. The following registrations were approved: C. Parsons, East seniors, subject to clearance from Morrinsville , F. Wickliffe and A. J. Wilson, East third-grade; W. Crosby, Netherton senions. SATURDAY'S FIXTURES. Seniors. —East v. Nethcrton, at Nethciton ; West v. Suburbs, at Hiku-. taia. Juniors. —Paeroa v. Waihi, at Paeroa. School.—Paeroa v. Waihi, at Paeroa. It was decided to submit the name of Mi W. Bramble, Karangahake, to the Paeroa Referees’ Association to refeiee the junior match. Tn accordance with a request from the Primary Schools’ Rugby Union it was decided to control the Paeroa v. Waihi school game, to be played as a curta n-raiser to the junior representativ< match at Paeroa on Saturday. ACCOUNTS. Accounts totalling £9 12s 6d were passed for payment. REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION. MEETING AT NGATEA. The weekly meeting of the Hauraki: Plains Rugby Referees’ Association was held at Ngatea on Monday evening, Mr G. T. Davidson presiding over twelve members. The reports of recent matches were read and adopted. The referees for next Saturday’s matches were appointed as follows: Kerepeehi v. Waitarakuru, at Waitakaruru Messrs J. N. Anderson (seniors) and M. Leonard (juniors) ; Hauri'.ki West v. Turua, at Turua, Messrs J. Kidd and E. Bertelsen ; United Coast v. Ngatea, at Coast, Mr D. G. McMillan. Mr J. Banks wrote resigning his position as secretary as he was leaving the district. On the motion of Mr Daivieson, seconded by Mr Costello, the resignation was accepted with regret. Mr M. Leonard was appointed to the position.
