HAMILTON STOCK SALE. In the Hamilton yards on Tuesday we had a good entry of beef and pigs, but only a small number of sheep and store cattle. The quality of beef yarded was. good, and values reached at recent markets were well maintained. Pigs again drew good competition, especially in the store pens, and all classes changed hands at prices reported the previous week. Prime heavy fat bullocks made to £l3 6s, heavy fat steers £l2 3s to £.12 4s, lighter £9 17s to £lO 12s 6d, small but good quality fat steers £7 15s to £9 6ds, light fat ste.ers £6 14s to £7 Ils ; good quality fat heifers £7 ; medium fat cows £5 Bs, lighter £3 14s to £4 Ils ; fresh-conditioned cows and heifers £2 to £3 ; small vealers 31s to 39s ; store cows £1 5s to 355, culls 15s to £1 ; medium 18-months steers 38s: rising 2-year empty Jersey and Jer-sey-cross heifers £3 7s, others 39s to £2 Is ; Holstein-cross, same age, 34s to £2 14s; good 2-year empty Shorthorn heifers £2.
