Mutton. —Tlie yardings are small and prices firm, Die local btltcheis absorbing all that are yarded in tnc different markets. Store Sheep.—A good inquiry exists for all classes, the yardings being' small, but good sales have been taxing place in the paddocks, especiallyfor breeding ewes and hoggets. Store Cattle. —The market for all classes of stores is very dull, the yardings consisting mostly of store cows and yearling heifers, with practically no good young steers. Pigs.—Prices for all classes of fats have been, if anything, a little better with yards not so big. There is a keen demand for all classes of stores. Dairy Cattle.—Good tested herds are finding buyers at fair prices, although not as good as last season. Unless tested the averages have been low. There is a fair demand for good heifers, but inferior sorts are not wanted. Horses—There is still a good inquiry for both heavy draught and good farm sorts, light horses being dull of sale. We quote ; Prime heavy bullocks £ll 10s to £l3 10s, luerlum £9 10s to £lO 10s, Light £7 10s to £8 ?0s ; best prime cows £6 10s to £7 2s 6d, medium £5 to £5 10s, unfinished £3 5s to £3 10s; store cows £1 5s to £1 15s; 3}2-year steers £5 to £5 10s, good 2}i-year £3 10s to £3 15s, 18-months £2 5s to £2 10s, small 18-months 30s to 355; yearling heifers, best 30s to £2, others 15s to 25s ; good yearling steers 35s to 37s 6d. Sheep : prime heavy wethers 37s to 40s, medium 33s to 345, store 31s to 32s 6d, 2-tooth 28s to 30s; ewes in lamb, F.F.H., 25s to 30s; aged ewes in lamb 17s to 21s; fat lambs 255. good store lambs 17s 6d to 20s, small store lambs 14s 6d to 15s 6d. Pigs : Best baconers £3 15s to £4 2s, others £3 5s to £3 10s ; good porkers £2 2s to £2 10s; slips 25s to 30s; weaner,s 15s to 20s. Horses: Heavy draughts .£5O to £6O, medium £3O to £35 ; spring cart sorts £l7 to £25; harness horses £lO to £l2 10s.
