GOLF.
After careful consideration the committees oE the Paeroa Golf Club have decided to abandon the East Auckland tournament, which was to have been held on the local links to-morrow. This decision was reached this morning when it was found that so few entries had been received owing to the fact that road communication between Paeroa and Thames, Waihi, Matamata, and Hamilton is almost impossible with any degree of safety or comfort.
