HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Auctioneering Co. reports :— At Hamilton on Tuesday last we had a good yarding of all classes of stock, prices in general- being equal to those lately ruling. The demand for sheep was fairly steady, and all lines wer ultimately cleared. Fat weathers made 335, forward lambs 19s to 21s 6d. A few small lines of ■ ewes in lamb were penned, making from 21s to 265. Small 2-iopth wethers made from -21 s to 25s 9d ; cull ewes 10s. The beef pens were fairly well filled, values being slightly firmer than the previous week. Lightweight steers made from £6 13s to £7 15s, forward sorts £5 to £6 ; fat cows £5 to £6, light-weights £4 10s to £5 ss, unfinished cows £3TOs to £4 ss, store cows 25s to £2. Three and a-half-year store steens were ini fair demand, backward-conditioned sorts making from £4 Us tp £4 l'ss. The calf market was as usual, the reverse of buoyant Jersey-cross making from 16s to 275. Holstein 13s. Pigs were again briskly competed for, heavy ba (, dncrs making to £4 12s,- lighter weights £3 5s to £3 15s ; porkers £2 10s to £3, light porkers £2 to £2 7s 6d ; stere pigs £1 7s to £ll6s ; -dips £1 to £l' 5s ; weaners 12s to 16s.
