HAURAKI PLAINS COUNTY
FINANCIAL STATEMENT. Tlie financial statement tabled at the Hauraki Plains County Council meeting on Tuesday last showed that all the ridings had debit balances at April 30.
Kopuarahi debit balance was £3Bl, Turua £794, Horahia £416, Korepeehi £254, Netherton £5Bl, Pate'onga £592, Ngatca £B6, Pipiroa £314, and Waitakaruru £413. The general rate has be°n anticipated by £3831. The balances in the loan accounts were : Netherton Roads Loan, 11181 ; Kopu Ferry Approach Roads Loan, debit balance, £l5 ; Puriri Ferry and Approach Roads Loan, £4 ; Ngatiapui East Road Loan, debit balance, £341 , Housing Loan, £3543; Machinery Loan, £6768 ; Turua-Netherton- Roads Loan, £8072 Tahuna Roads, £339. The receipts for the month of April were : General rate £502 as lOd, hospital rate £9B Ils 10d. special rates £l2O 8s lOd, dog, motor, and waggon registration £lB 10s, motor and horse hire £lB 16s lOd, and miscellaneous to bring the total to £B4l ’Bs 2d. The debit balance as per cash-book of the county fund account at Apri, 30 was £199 Ils 3d.
The general rate account for the 13 months ending April 30 showed that Kopuarahi riding .struck £1224, collected £727, expended £1108; Turua, struck £lBB6. collected £1446, expended £2240 ; Horahia, struck £1416, collected £978, expended £1391 ; Kerepeehi struck £1129, collected £590, expended £844 ; Netherton struck £lBB9. collected £1175,' expended £17'56; Patetonga struck £928, collected £204, expended £796 ; Ngatca struck £1062, collected £771, expended £857; PiPiroa struck £1092, collected £759, expended £1073; Waitakaruru strucK £1723, collected £l5Bl, expended £1994. The list of accounts presented for payment included £255 5s progress payment on the County Chambers, £306 5s 7d Turua-Netherton Roads Loan, £420 Netherton Roads Loan. £9B Ils 8d 'Hikutaia Quarry, £5 16s 4d Horahia Riding, £214 3s 8d Waitakaruru Riding, £67 12s 3d Kopuarahi Riding. £101.2s 9d Turua Riding. £57 13s 3d Korepeehi Riding, £3O 7s Nethertoii Riding, £4 13s id Patetonga Riding, £45 Hs Id Ngatea Riding, and £9t3 Is 3d general, the total being £1738 12s 7d.
