FOOTBALL GATE MONEY.
(To the Editor!. Sir,--I hope you will grant me space to voice a complaint which I think is fair comment. I was a spectator at the rootban matches on Saturday last, and on looking round was surprised to see how many people ~ took advantage of the open fence and enjoyed the games without paying the custoi mry “bob.’’ Xow, if the aforementioned folk had been Scotch we would have been in the position to throw at them the old-time ant threadbare joke of Scotch meanness, but in this ease the boot was on the other foot—but that by the way. The Paeroa Rugby Union is a body of* energetic local men who put hear: and soul into their work, and thereby provide u.s with the pleasure of seeing our young manhood battling strenuously in the great game of Rugby, and what is pleasant to look at is pleasant to pay for. So come you fo'k ; come in at the gate, pay your "bob.” ami by so doing you will give them the help they so much deserve. FAIRPLAY.
