The question of the route of the mun highway across the Hauraki Plains was briefly discussed at the Farmers’ UnTon meeting at Ngatea ai Saturday. It was pointed out that the road through Ngatea was .shorter than that through Pipiroa, and would be nearer the middle of lhe county, so would find favour with a greater proportion of the ratepayers. It was decided, or. the motion of Mr J. Bratlie, to recommend to the Highwavs Bmrd that the route be as near the middle of the county as possible,
