SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
HOUSEHOLDERS’ MEETINGS. PIPIROA. Indignation was expressed at Pipiroa meeting at the action of the Education Board in subsidising a bus service so that former pupils of the school resident at Hopai could join the Ngatea school, thereby keeping down the grade of the Pipiroa school, with the result that another teacher could not be obtained. The committee had protested to the board un three occasions. The meeting decided io send a strongly worded protest to the Education Board. The school fund showed a credit f about £3O. The following were re-elected to the committee : Messrs. J. Porter (chairmoo). E. Keane (secretary), W. Ganiev, J. Clark, and E..C. Marshall. WAITAKARURU. . There were nine present at the AVaitakaruru meeting. The books of the committee were not available, owing to the absence of the secretary, but it was thought that there was a credit of about £2O. The new' committee, elected was as follows : Messrs C. W. Harris (chairman), H. L. Berney, S. P. Caie, J. Dpnaghy, and N. W. Hedges (secretary).
