NEW BUILDINGS.
F.RECTION IN BELMONT ROAD. BLOCK OF THREE SHOPS. A start has been. made with the erection of another building in Bel ■ mont Road, Paeroa, next to Mitchell’s Studio. The premises will comprise three shops, two with frontages of llfl. and one of: 17ft. to Belmont Road, and a deptli of 40ft, inside measurement. Each shop will carry a double front with a deep leeess, and plate-glass windows the full length. Reinforced concrete foundations are at present being put down, and the structure will be built of brick, hand-' somcly finished off, and fronted with a suspension verandah. The whole will be fire-proof throughout. The building is being erected for Mr S. Rowbottom, of North Shore, Auckland, and for many years a resident of Thames. As an indication of the fa : th Mr Rowbottom has in the future progress of Paeroa, it is worthy >t note that provision is being made on the building for the addition of a second storey. Messrs Robinson and Beagley. building contractors, of H.:mil*on, are executing the work, an 1 exucct to have it completed in about three months’ time.
