POWER BOARD LOAN.
PROPOSAL CARRIED. LITTLE INTEREST TAKEN. The poll for the proposal to borrow the sum of £150,000, submitted to the ratepayers by the Thames Valley Electric Power Board on Wednesday last, was carried by a majority of 320 votes, the figures being: — For the proposal 474 Against the proposal 154' Little interest was taken in the poll, as out of a total number of 7391 ratepayers on the roll only 628 voted. The voting at the county office, Paeroa, was 45 for and 20 against the proposal. •»
