NGATEA POST OFFICE.

NEW BUILDING GRANTED.

The member for Thames, Mr T. W. Rhodes, during his recent visit to Wellington interviewed the Postmas-ter-General and ascertained that it is intended in the very near future to erect a new and commodious po.st office at Ngatea. The proposed structure will do credit to Ngatea, and provide ample accommodation to enable the staff to cope with business in every branch, and enable any additional settlers who may wish to link up with the telephone to do so. Already there are some 90 settlers connected with the exchange, and the great increase of business during the past couple of years undoubtedly warrants the department erecting the building contemplated.
