PERSONAL.

Mr Harold J. Hill, of Auckland, is spending the week-end with Mr R. W. Evans at the "Wilderness,” and will sing at the services at St. Paul’s Church on Sunday next.

Mr W. J. Byrne, Thames Road, returned to Paeroa this morning. Mr Byrne Jias been, receiving treatment for war disabilities at Hamner Springs Sanatorium since November last, but, unfortunately, he has made no progress towards recovery.

Dr. T. G. Short, assistant medical superintendent of the Waihi Hospital, has been granted nine months’ leave of absence so as to enable him to visit England with a view to gaining further professional experience in the big hospitals there. Dr. Fulton, it present on the staff of the Waipukurau Sanatorium, is to act as locum tenens in his absence.
