OBITUARY.

MR. H. C. WICK. At the age of 85 years, a former wpJl-kncwn resident of Paeroa, Mr Henry Christian passed away at the residence of his daughter, Mrs A. Kreutzer, at Auckland. Another daughter is Mrs Wing, of Te Aw'amutu. Mr came to New' Zealand from Australia in 1866, and was early on the Thames goldfield, which was opened the next year. Later he came to where he was fanning, and took a keen interest in all social affairs. He retired from active work about 24 years ago, and has ever since lived in Auckland. His remains were interred at the Paeroa Cemetery yesterday morning.
