FIRE AT NETHERTON.
DWELLING DESTROYED.
NOTHING SAVED. ik fire broke out about nine o’cloick last, night in the 8-roomed dwelling owned by Dunlop Bros., Ferry Farm, Netherton, and completely destroyed the building and contents. The house was occupied by Mr Oliver C. Dunlop and his uncle, Mr Robert Dunlop, both of whom were m Paeroa at the time. When the fire was discovered by the neighbours it had such a hold that nothing could be saved. The furniture, which also included n piano and family belongings of the brothers’ deceased parents, was uninsured. The house was erected about eleven years ago, and wa,s in a good state of preservation, and was insured for. £6OO.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
