PERSONAL.
During last week Mr W. Waddel, sunerintendent of'the State Advances Office, Wellington, accompanied by Mis Waddel, at the invitation of His Worship the Mayor (Mr W. Marshall) and Mr H Poland, M.P., paid an unofficial visit to Paeroa, and were the guests of Mr Poland. During their brief sojourn in Paeroa His Worship the Mayor and Mr Poland took the visitors on a mptw tour round the district, including the Haiiraki Plains, Thames Coast, and Waihi. Mr Waddel thoroughly enjoyed his visit, and expressed his pleasure and thanks to his host a'nd the Mayor for affording him the opportunity of seeing so much of the district.
