WEDDING BELLS.

GEORGE—TREGOWETH. On Wednesday last, December 19, at the Methodist. Church, Paerpa, the marriage of Miss Elsie Pearl Tregoweth, eldest daughter of Mr A. JTregoweth, of Netherton, and Mr Francis George, third son of Mr W. G. George, of Remuera, was celebrated by the Rev. W, J. Enticott, of Taamarunui, assisted by the Rev. J. G. Jefferson. Mr J. Rickard officiated as organist, and the service was an impressive one. The bride was. attended by her sister (Miss Kitty Tregoweth) and her cousin (Miss Rose Egan) as bridesmaids, and Miss Joan Leach as. flowar girl. Mr Rex Alexander was best man; and Mr Ernest Findlay groomsman. The bride’s dress' was of white satin with trimmings of silver lace, an.i she wore the usual veil and orange blossoms. Miss Kitty Tiegoweth was dressed in’mauve crepe do chine and Miss Rose Egan in aprieon crepe de chine, with hats to match. Miss Joan Leach wore white, and carried a basket of flowers. The bouquets and flowers were supplied by Miss Rickard. After the ceremony the party adjourned to the Soldiers’. Club, where, a dainty wedding breakfast had been provided by the bride’s mother;, assisted 'by Mrs Dally. Guests were present from Te Kawhata, Matamata, and Auckland. In proposing the health of the bride the Rev. Enticott stated that he had known Mrs George for several years, and felt certain that the couple would have a happy future. Mr George thanked the guests on behalf of Mrs George and himself for their kind wishes, and expressed hi,s appreciation of the kind services rendered him during his visit to Paeroa. Mr Leach proposed the health of the parents, and Mr Tregoweth, father of the bride, an I Mr George, father of the bridegroom, responded. The health of the officiating .minister, the Rev. Enticott, was also drunk with enthusiasm. The happy couple left by the afternoon train for Rotorua, where the honeymoon will be spent. In the evening, as .the guests of the bridegroom, the younger members of the pa’-ty spent an enjoyable time in dancing, Messrs Alexander and Findlay attending to the comforts of the visitors in a very able manner.

Mr and Mrs George are expected to reach their home at Te Kawhata early m the New Year.
